Addison slim straight jeans, made with an 11,9 Oz black wideloom denim, woven at Kuroki. Designed for a solid textural feel with a little added stretch for comfort.
+ Description
Made in Portugal

The Addison slim straight jeans, finally available in our Japan Black Comfort. Made from a 11,9 Oz black wideloom denim woven at the renowned Japanese fabric mill, Kuroki. Developed to have the solid textural handfeel of classic pure cotton black jeans, but with 2% stretch for added comfort.

While all black denim will loose colour eventually, this particular denim fades in contrast after wear, evolving a beautiful personal pattern. This is due a special technique called rope dye, whereas the yarns are dipped in short intervals between oxidation. This prevents the colour from completely penetrating the core of the fibres, leaving it fresh, natural and untouched. When the layers of black colour wears off the surface of the yarns, the natural coloured cotton core will appear, leaving a contrast fade throughout the jeans.

Made in a one-wash finish to increase softness of touch.
Made in our slim straight jeans, Addison.

+ Care

All black jeans will gradually lose colour over time. We select denim qualities and dyeing methods that keep them black for a long time, but that also develop nicely as the color eventually fades away. Creating a contrasted fade where your jeans see the most friction.

For black jeans, the rule is to wash them as infrequently as possible if you want them to stay as black as possible. However, when the jeans are brand new, we recommend a gentle wash after 1-2 weeks of wear to set the color and maintain its consistency over time.

To ensure that your jeans will last and stay as nice as possible, we recommend following these simple steps when washing:

- Always turn your jeans inside-out before washing
- Wash your jeans cold, 30C, and never use fabric softener
- Don't let your jeans rest in the washing machine after the program has ended
- Hang dry

It's a common myth that you should never wash your jeans. An accumulation of dust and grime from very long wear will actually wear on the cotton fibres, causing holes to appear quicker. But it is true that the average person washes their jeans way to often. How often you should wash your jeans depends greatly on how and where you wear them. Wash your jeans when needed, but if they seem fine, it can probably wait a while longer.
